I have this:
a=b
a^2 = ab
a^2 + a^2 = a^2 + ab
2 a^2 = a^2 + ab
2 a^2 - 2 ab = a^2 + ab - 2 ab
2 a^2 - 2 ab = a^2 - ab
2 (a^2 - a b ) = 1 (a^2 - a b )
1=2

This is why you shouldn't divide by zero. Still very interesting.
Spoiler below:
Starting from 2 (a^2 - a b ) = 1 (a^2 - a b ),
because a^2 = ab, a^2-ab = 0 so:
2(0) = 1(0) which is true, but his step would be to divide both sides by a^2 - ab which is zero
(2(0))/0 = (1(0))/0 Err: Divide by zero
With the same logic, 5 = 100:
x = y
x-y = 0
5(x-y) = 100(x-y)
5 = 100 |

My linear algebra prof showed us a proof that i and j were two different numbers. I forgot how exactly and now I can't find it on google. But basically, it amounted to j = -i. And he's not the only who's agreed with this. |

he says that if you drop something off the edge of a cliff (no wind...) it will fall parallel to the cliff even though the cliff won't be pointed to the center of the earth. I think that is bs since the cliff's are so minuscule compared to the earth that it is falling to the center of the earth but the difference in direction is so tiny you can't tell. |

Don't call it proof, he just said every number = 1 when the "proof" he uses actually disproves it by saying that any number devided by itself equals 1. "Devided by itself", not "itself".
x / x = 1 only means x = 1 when you go back in time and say x = 1 (instead of x / x = 1) in the first place.
