It's a simple programming language with a click and drag IDE.
So simple its almost pointless.

The source code can be written in any text editor or IDE software. The interpretation of the code can only be done by an interpreter. MS Word does have one for macros and such, which are written in VB.

So, to answer your literal question, yes. It can make a program written in VB. (macro's and similar scripts are "programs")

I don't think it can make an executable application (.exe) from VB code, though.

Its called Visual Basic for Applications and its built into the entire MS Office suite. you can export Basic modules for use in VB6, but it can't make .exe's in and of itself. it also is built into Office Mac Smile

If you're lacking Microsoft Studio, you can use SharpDevelop. It's a very good open-source VB.NET editor.
