Maybe this is supposed to exist, and maybe everybody knows about it, but here goes:

I noticed that whenever you delete a post, your post count doesn't go down, so you could make a post, delete it, make a post, delete it, rinse, wash, and repeat for as much as you like, and nobody would probably notice*, yet your post count would go up.

*I think Jbirk mentioned something about a "recycling bin" for posts once though...

What you have described is not a bug.

It is assumed you probably will not make a post and delete it.

Besides, would it be fair if an admin deleted one of your posts, and your count went down?

That was what I had guessed, I just wasn't too sure. I thought it had something to do with the "last post by:" thing.

you should do a: it ahs to "alive" for one day to work, so that way, if it is spam, it will be deleted and mark your posts down, and if it is deleted after a day, it won't hurt you.? ? ?

I found out about this a couple of months back, it would work if the posts wheren't moved to the recycle bin, and have you thought about what the admins would do if they find those 1500 deleted posts?

Matt is the creator. You can sign up for their company forum, and post some stuff. Matt will likely read it if he deems it important.

its also easy when you are admin to slowly increase your post count when no one is online every now and then by like 20-40 every time and no one will notice. *points out to Arcane suspicious post count Neutral *

EDIT: oops I noticed the post date sry

Not suspicious when you have 259 pages of posts

The only suspicious post count on this board is mine, and then in a very different way.

Nothing one click in the Admin panel to recalculate all post counts wouldn't fix! ;)

I think that would be hard, since a new topic is made every time someone deletes a post. If someone were to delete 40 posts, I'd have 40 new topics on my "View New Posts" page.

I used to be an avid deleter (what was it Arcane, like 250 deleted posts? lol), but I've cut back on it now that I can remove the "Edited by Brazucs" line. That just bothered my for some reason...

I've only deleted 5-10 posts since I've been admined Smile DA really worked.

I just increase my post count by looking for a topic I can be helpful in, and then attempt to post helpful comments. I don't recall when I've ever done otherwise. Oh, I've deleted one post when I hit the post button on accident.
