I am so happy, that *GAY* Vision Client is disable-able... With help of my friend, I disabled it!

Quote:
If you have access to Program Files

1. Open Program Files
2. Click 'MasterSolution'
3. Click 'Vision'
4. Click 'MEWConf'
5. Set the settings to 'Manually Start'
6. Restart (Think of an excuse to Restart)

Voila, Instant No-More-Spying-On-The-Kids-In-Class-On-The-Comp!

WOOT!

NOTE: This also Disables the teachers ability to take control of your comp!

Our school uses VLC, they've got it locked down pretty well after I've managed to avoid it for three years now... but not avoiding the punishments going along with it ^^;

My latest idea is pretty simple, but it's what works when the comps are so sealed shut... no right clicks on desktop/taskbar, control panel & IE options disabled, run disabled, control panel.lnk doesn't work, thanks to me... >.>; Oh! To top all of that off, they have Bess for their internet security thingie... They finally learned to block www.google.ca, www.google.co.uk, etc., and cached pages are of course disabled (even translation pages, another idea that got me in trouble). And the obligatory disabled taskmanager.

So, If you're really that desparate to do whatever, and they take all of your other ideas away: (If you have WinXP Pro at school) Run tasklist.exe, find the process name and PID #, then run taskkill /PID (number from before).

If you don't have those apps (should run from just C:\, but are located in system32), and you just really, REALLY want to get into trouble, then here are links to them.

i do realize that this post is 3 years old but i thought i would share my input for people still looking for an easy way around the vision client, if your school has not disabled control panel simply enter into it and goto admin tools and services, find vision client, right click and stop it, done

...but why? I mean seriously, you have other internet access, right? And you can always find teachers who don't care if you're playing games or undermining the government, as long as you're quiet. Yeah, you can do it, and yeah, you probably won't get caught, but it just seems a little pointless to me. You can afford to be away from the computer for at least a few hours at a time
