Very possible... but wouldnt it be easyer to get rechargeable batteries from radioshack? :biggrin:

Dallas Robotics did a NiCad recharger that's about the size of a bean. It was powered by 12VDC, though, not the mains.

No. That's 4 AA batteries for the GB, not AAA (unless you're talking about the Game Boy Pocket). Just be thankful that GBs don't use 6 AAA batteries for 4-6 hours of play like the Game Gears did.

are you sure? I'll have to check when it get home, but I remember having to beg AAAs off my brother once (before I got my calc)

Yes. The original gameboy used 4 AA batteries. The only difference it will impact is the recharge times, where AA's will take almost double to the time to charge than AAA's.

Yeah. You said "old-school" Game Boys, so I assumed you meant the original Game Boy.
