Behold, it has been a full year since I first searched for a Ti-Basic forum to join.
In honor of this, and for my love of the language, I introduce Goose Commons.

I thought it would be better to add in more information regarding the site.

What I hope to present with this community is that all content should be conceived by the members and guests who will randomly step up to the plate and contribute. The bits and pieces will come into existence not as a result of someone's accountability, but because of his or her self-apportioned assignment. The website was my design, thus I am predisposed to have the final word in all cases (next to AlienCC), but I really want to bring the message and essence that no special status is required for other people to make their finer use of it, hence the carefully-chosen term common, which is, by definition: "belonging to or participated in by a community as a whole"

If you have something to bring to this website, please do, as there will be no change otherwise.

Here are some suggestions for previously posted routines (by the way, I enjoyed that section of the website very much Smile )

http://www.unitedti.org/index.php?showtopi...indpost&p=44820 - base converting
http://www.unitedti.org/index.php?showtopi...indpost&p=44553 - high scores (for 83 and 89 series)
http://mpl.unitedti.org/2005/09/little-bits-of-code.html - miscellaneous stuff
http://www.unitedti.org/index.php?showtopi...indpost&p=49884 - the classic linreg numstr method. I don't claim credit for inventing it, just that my post was the first I found.

Thank you, I will certainly add those in. :)

Just as a preemptive, I ask that future submissions be sent using [email=weregoose@gmail.com]e-mail[/email] before they are posted here. Cool

As you're the first person to deliver, it's pretty neutral. Smile

Remember, I'm not just looking for the most entertaining programs. ;)

[EDIT]

That is to say, the "fun" factor is really not a factor at all in this case!

you want the best coded ones. or the most creatively coded ones....which is why I'd submit something I wrote for a contest.

I expect an exemplary understanding of the language using clever (and efficient) coding techniques.

I forgot to thank you, Weregoose, so thanks for accepting me!

*Note: My programs didn't seem that exemplary.

I'd simply rather that someone not consider the following program applicable:

Code:
PROGRAM:GAME
:ClrDraw
:-47→Xmin
:47→Xmax
:-31→Ymin
:31→Ymax
:0→X
:0→Y
:Repeat 0
:Pt-Off(X,Y)
:getKey→C
:If C=24
:X-1→X
:If C=25
:Y+1→Y
:If C=26
:X+1→X
:If C=34
:Y-1→Y
:Pt-On(X,Y)
:End

Let's see if I can set a standard for that prgmGAME...
Code:
ClrDraw
0→A
Ans→B
47→Xmax
-Ans→Xmin
31→Ymax
-Ans→Ymin
Repeat C=45
Pxl-Off(A,B
getKey→C
A+(C=34)-(C=25→A
B+(C=26)-(C=24→B
Pxl-On(A,B
End
I changed X and Y to A and B because of the use of Pt-XXX(), which I believe sets Y to zero. NOT TESTED

But now that I read the code rather than optimizing, I think it would flicker...

Err!

Code:
Delvar ADelvar BClrDraw
0→Xmin
0→Ymin
1→(tri)X
1→(tri)Y

Of course I probably missed a bunch or somesuch.

[EDIT]
29 -> 21 bytes.
