My new site http://sprites.wikispaces.com/ is ready for some members. The basic structure is complete enough to build on. I have uploaded some of my sprites, but there are many more left. So now I need other people to add their own sprites and perhaps modify the site. It's a protected wiki, so only members can edit pages and upload images.
If you are interested in this project and you have some sprites to release to the wild, then please set up an account at Wikispaces and send me a PM so I can add you to the site. Thanks. |

Image Zoomer does the trick if you are using FX. But for those who aren't, I agree there should be larger images. On high resolutions 8X8 is extremely hard to see.
Other than that, nice setup. Hope this becomes popular.

Adam I am waiting for Wikispaces to improve their image handling, and then it should be easy to show zoomed versions of the images. For now we'll just have to squint. |

Mouse Gestures -> southeast (double size of image) -> northwest (half size of image)
I think the only sprite stuff I've got left from years ago is the sprite sheet with just over a thousands random 8x9 people sprites and the warrior-from-the-back I made for leofox.

Er, don't try to upload all those individually. Maybe I'll write a program that will display any of them based on a few parameters and upload that. I take it that the left column is female and the right column male?
If you do come up with more sprites, please put them on the wiki or at least let me know about them so I can put them up. I wish I could have seen your StarCraft sprites!
Has anyone gotten an account at Wikispaces yet? |

I want to add a requests section to the wiki. Where do you think I should put it? On the front page? On the discussion for the front page? On a separate page?
Also, do you have a good idea for what to call it besides "the sprites wiki"? |

Yes, the sprites may be any size! At least all sizes that fit on a calculator screen. I have plenty of variously sized sprites to upload still. You can read the instructions on how to contribute for details.
I would like to get some suggestions on how to let more people know about the site. There are many calculator forums and I suppose that I could make a post about it in as many as I can find. I think that may be annoying though. Do you have any ideas? |
