Heh, 2 hours of RPG gameplay for a calc game (as long as it's not really repetitive, eg leveling up) is very respectable. I thnk I only got a little more than that from Dying Eyes.

I guess that 2 hours for the calc is pretty good, but it shouldn't be. Good authors like TVF's author should work hard and finish their projects (I know it's really hard, I'm making an RPG that I stopped after finishing the walking routine and before I could type in all the map, I hope to finish again).

If you need more than two hours, just expand the story and add unlockable features.

Doesn't expanding the story usually mean a larger file? Or is his RPG still well below the RAM limit?

I haven't tested my RPG, but I think it should be over 2 hours and it will blow the RAM limit because I'm writing it in basic.

couldn't you just archive and unarchive specific chapters of the game?

It's in Basic so I just use flash gordon to make a copy and run that. It's the quickest way I know how to do.

Dragon Warrior VII just came out right? If your making a dragon warrior game you should consider archiving it and running through Mirage OS.

Code:
//first line of program.
::"Dragon Warrior

this will alow it to run in mirage OS

My RPG is called Bandit, NOT DRAGON WARRIOR. I said I was wondering if anyone was currently making it or if it was made. I don't have all the stats to make it. And I don't need any more projects.

If the program is too big to fit into RAM, making it MirageOS compatible will accomplish nothing.

It will still have to be unarchived in order to run. Sorry to disappoint you.

Unless you run a program using Flash Gordon or the new xLIB, it must be unarchived to play it.

@LWD: you only need to do that in a Basic program, Assembly programs are handled completely differently.....
