There's always the other option, which is I guess 'Why couldn't you people choose Arcade?' :D
I dunno where to put this, I guess mods just move it where they will :)
Hmm... I was just wondering on peoples opinions of what a 'strategy' type game is. As soon as the BASIC contest was announced, I began throwing around ideas for a war-type game, such as Starcraft. I was halfway through describing the shape of a battlefield and realized it was like Othello. Thunderstruck, I realized the game could be Othello. Better yet, it could be chess, checkers. Then I realized it could be just about anything involving planning... involving, ahem, strategy. Well anyways, I guess we'll all know what it is on the 1st, unless AlienCC pulls some evil trick upon us  So I was just wondering what you guy's interpretation of strategy meant. Oh, and are you entering?
As for me, I don't know yet. I guess I'm waiting for other peoples opinions  . Such a trend-setter.

| I dont know, I think board games are definitely strategy....although AI is evillllllll.....besides that I thik that if anyone actually releases a Basic strategy board game with non-crappy AI, they will deserve more than a Flash Drive.... |

My wildcard will be set on the table on Sept 1st, which defines Strategy as it will be applied to the Basic Contest!
