I've been working on Pokémon for about 2 months now and I have most of the data complete for the game. A lot of the tiles are done, as well as sprites. I hope to have the movement engine done in a few weeks so that a "playable" demo is ready.

Watches map demo on vti.
But i have a question too: why didn't you use the original sprites?

I've been ripping the sprites right from the game recently. As if my post was read by my computer, it decided to kill itself. I got all my important files back, but there are still a few missing ones. When i made the first sprites I didn't have a program to get the sprites from the game.

Well, I'd like to get the pics out to a larger range of people (although this is one of the largest forums about TI calcs) that are looking for info and stuff on the game itself. Instead of making 5 posts at 5 different forums, I'll just post them on my forum. It could be awhile until I get everything straightened out from the crash. I have a stack of floppy disks with important info on them that I need to sort out. I could probably get everything done by tomorrow.

I am currently in the process of creating a program that will allow you to modify almost every aspect of the game. You could even make an RPG that has nothing to do with Pokémon, although the foundation will be based off the game. You can visit its forum here.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but I guess it would be. The thing is that this would be on-calc and you could work on your mod at school.

VTI/TiEmu may work, but I can't guarantee it. You will need TiLP to get the program off of VTI/TiEmu then to get the files out to be validated.
