One BASIC r.p.g. that was very promising was Dragon Warrior for the 83. It was being programmed by SiCoDe until they broke up. If I were you guys I would take a look at it. It is VERY good. FYI there is a Dragonwarrior for 86, it is EXACTLY like DW 1 for NES.

i like the game, but all the tile maps are pics (0-9). only ur sprite has to be updated

Too bad, I thought it was actually good until I read the readme.txt and saw the pics and what you could do.

i say we do a basic rpg as UTI b/c i have a kewl battle engine i started and a awsome mapeditor, creator, and loader al most finished.

I've seen that. I looked at the code. It's really simple. Thats why it's so fast. But the monster drawing system needs improvement.

if i ever finish my ZSprite program, then we could use it for the graphixs... ASM tool that draws a sprite in under a second...
