I know someone who is hella good at using those kind of sprites. He's at www.maxcoderz.com and is the FFTOM creator. You should contact him there.

That will be hard to do. What type of 3d graphics are you thinking of? Raycasting like doom 2, top view with depth....

Maxcoderz isn't down,it was hacked. Also, that would be a good game, but it would be kinda hard to do all that slow-mo stuff.

Is this going to be a BASIC or ASM prgm? I can only do BASIC, although I might be willing to learn ASM. In fact, I'll probably have to as I am still calc-less.

Well it's possible, but will be very hard. It would be awsome to be "the one". When you hit an enemey, they would fly back a few sprites.

Perhaps you could use the fbf tile map routine created by justin. You can insert your motifications and the rest is down hill. See, in fbf, when you fight it goes to a battle screen, instead, you will take out the battle screen, and insert your own combat code. it will be tough, but using a pre existing routine will kill som of the work load. Once you have the routine fully working with your battle system, you get you have fun making new sprites and levels and menues.
