Yes it is a contest. No, there is no good prize. But anyway, here it is:

Design a splash screen for the new Falcon TI production, DragChamp. This is to be done in BASIC, though, so no asm drawings please. Present them in pic format or prgm format, either one, although prgm format is preferred. Or both. Lol.

Remember the game is a drag racing rpg, fully graphical.

Winner will receive, drum roll please, administration or BASIC graphic artist spot at Falcon-ti.tk (to be set up), a name on the credits of the game, and a first try of the game if you wish. All of these ar3e optional though, lol. Ok, post your pics here, and the winner will be chosen sometime June 30th!

An introduction screen. Or a title screen, basically.

i repeat my offer here (since u repeated the topic Laughing ) :
well, if u gave me a pic, (prefferably already in binary, hex, or decimal, but if not, not a problem Wink ) then i could make u an asm prgm to display the pic to the graph screen... what do u think? btw, it would have to be black and white, just a gif, jp(e)g, or bmp, or just an image file Very Happy ...

i would do a pic, but i dont do grafix design very well, the only decent grapic i have made on my own, was a mouse sprite...

Well thank you for your offer! I will work on it, but I dont see anything coming in the next week, I have a lot to do outside programming, and making a picture just isnt my top priority. But once I get around to it, and it isnt a disconvenience to your schedule, I will send the pic.

Sorry and thanks though!

ok, it definatately isnt a disconveniace(sp?)! i am actually thinking about making an asm prgm, that will take any pic var u choose, take the pic in it, and make an asm prgm to display the pic! or, i might make it use the current graph screen...

Um there already is one:

http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/filei.../171/17119.html

And you can store the pic number into X and run ZPic before it:

http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/filei.../109/10907.html

But it would be kinda cool if you wanted to combine them (or use grey scale Very Happy )

ohh, u mean ZPic? i mean like, u get to coose the prgm name, and stuff! i think zpic is good in theory, but doesnt it just do the same thing as normal pics? i mean like, it stores all the pics inside itself, but what if 2 prgms use the same pic in zpic?

The only reason I included Zpic was so the user could choose what picture number they wanted copied to the graphscreen. The top link then would create an asm program that included the picture data. That's why I thought it would be cool if you wanted to combine them. :D

it started out in paint on the comp but then i had to go to bed. so i woke up in the middle of the night and started over on my calc. the wheels were made with Circle( and filled in, but the rest was drawn by the Line( command on the graphscreen. do i win? i would think so considering im the only one thats entered, but after seeing the way some other contests worked...
