What do you think? Please post your responses. Some suggestions for things that might (and probably will) be added/fixed/changed/subtracted are above, but feel free to come up with new areas. You can check out the current version at ticalc.org: Doors CS v4.0.5.

I would like to see TICI 1.0 driver support, but also would like to see Ion support, so I voted Other. Very Happy

What specific drivers would you like to see written first? If a final form were introduced, would you write driver(s) for it?

I would most like to see the mouse drivers. I would try to write drivers, but I am not a hardware type person (don't like all that communication Laughing)

And besides, my brain has no motivation left for any real deep asm programming Sad

I agree. I made a fair amount of progress with this but then got stuck and set it aside for a while. When I finish Doors CS v5.0 I might start it up again.

Would you mind if I took out the Doors CS login sequence? That would save me ~400 bytes. How 'bout if I made it an optional SE (shell extension module)?

YA! I would love to see login... Even if it is useless, add it in at least as an extention for those of us weirdos who would actually use it Laughing.

Tip: Anywhere you have text being entered, use _GetKey instead of _GetCSC, because then the TI-Keyboard will work Laughing. (only on OS 1.15+ of course, but that is a no-brainer Laughing)
That is just a tip, but I know it would be very much appreciated, and then you don't have to write your own alpha routine whatever Laughing.

I am thinking of upgrading the toolbar (at the bottom) to remove the start menu and instead have icons for the various functions - shutdown, mem, preferences, battery, quit, connect. Would anyone mind the removal of the Start ...er... Tools menu? Laughing

Doors CS is now at v4.5.0 delta. The desktop works, scrolling (kinda) works, program running (partially) works, and everything else is well on its way! If you might eventually be interested in beta-testing, please let me know.

Current status:
>>BASIC programs: completely working! (just don't [2nd][quit] from an input/prompt Laughing)
>>ASM programs: kinda sorta (depends on the prog)
>>Ion: should work but don't
>>SOS: non-libs work, lib-dependent still in progress
>>DCS ASM - work, but libs aren't in yet
>>DCS BASIC - totally working.

Estimations:
<->~100x more useful than 4.0 Cool
<->~1/3x the size of 4.0 Very Happy
<->About 50-100x faster loading and 8x faster mouse
<->I could be biased, of course, but... Neutral

I think you could add advanced basic cmd like sprite, zoom, everything that codex don't do.

And TI-82/83- emulation on TI-83+ (like a non-working Miracge OS feature)

>>Scrollbar: fixed

Known problems:
>>Program lock/unlock ( I think I know what's wrong)

I am redoing MoibleTunes a bit so it's Doors CS optimized - this should shave about 500 bytes off the program size. I'll probably release it concurrently as an example of what Doors CS v5.0 can do.

I'm working on it! The current _released_ version is TI-83- only. Sad
