There a certain games that run on my TI83+ that won't run on my friend's, and we have the exact same programs loaded. What's the deal with that?

What programs are you trying to run and with which shell? Ion, MirageOS, etc?

okay all these programs work fine on my calc, and don't work on his:

zTetris: pieces are screwed up
Mario83: this annoying line runs through the middle of the screen
frogguts: doesn't show up in mirage or crunchy

he doesn't have ion, nor do I, and for me they all work in both mirage and crunchy, but for him, well, the problem is listed

ahhhhh! ask ur friend if he tried crunchyOS if he did then i know the problem

cruncyOS sets ur calc to high speed and some programs like those stated dont work correctly in high speed, so when i was testing crunchyOS for dwedit he had to give me a program to run to slow down my calc again, ull have to ask him for it, i cant find it

Try manipulating your lists. I remember having Fallup screw up when I manipulated List4 I think.

make a program:

Code:
:AsmPrgm
:C9

run it, and the tios should reset the calc to normal in regards to speed

if crunchy sets high speed, then you cannot run normal speed programs, you will need mirage.

this big problem comes because ti used a faster processer (send data faster) but didnt change the display hardware (cant read data as fast as the cpu sends it)

Can't you change the delay to fix that?

I hear that the display's delay can be decreased, but not so much as to have a 40 CC delay @ 15MHz. If there was a way, I'd like to hear it, because I'm not getting anywhere without that info.

Access to port $29 on SE, if I remember correctly. $FF=slow and $C0=fast. That information is on the detached solutions forum, but you'd have to go digging for it. But, it won't work for me, so please, someone try to make it work, and tell me.

That didnt work:(
Isnt C9 just the hex code for end?
Wouldnt you also need the code for setting the slower speed?
