Hey everyone i am tring to transfer files from my pc to my calculater and whenever i do that this shows up "Error retrieving data from file:
C:\ DOCUMNETS AND SETTINGS\DAN\MY DOCUMENTS\PROGRAMS AND STUFF\OTHER\ION" everything is installed properly n i have the silver link cable to my ti-83 plus? would someone please help me. If anyone you can help me please contact me on AOL my s/n is fastcar2003247. or my email

If it's the same file all the time, it's propably the file.

i dunno. shoudl work fine in your xp. mine does. the file may not have the correct header, or such. tell me what files you are trying to send and ill see if i can send them or not. if they are your own files, try recompiling them

No i tried using differnt files and still the same problem the file i tried to douwload to my calc are games and progams that i download froms sites??

Are they calculator type files? You can't send stuff like .txt, .doc, or .zip files to the calculator.

TiLP will, if you don't like TI Connect. But it seems like people have lots of trouble getting it to work for some reason...

I think you need to get a different driver for TiLP to work with the silverlink, and then it doesn't work with TI Connect.

Yes, the drivers for the USB link are different for TiLP and TI Connect. Causes some frustration if you're trying to use both, wouldn't you say?

listen, do this
1. Open TI connect
2. Open TI group Explorer
3. find ur file
4.right clicl and hit send to device

What if he's not using TI Connect? Unless I'm missing something, he hasn't said yet what program he's using.

i am using ti connect its just that when ever i right click and go to send to or drag and drop it gives me a message that i cant do it i posted to message on my first tread
