ok my friend marcus tried to send inequality graphing to my friend's ti-83+ from his ti-83+ se and well, now only screenu see when uy turn it on says

try redownloading the TIOS. that is what it means by "software"

hey i got that same message...only difference is that mine said:

Ram Failed
Please install calculator software

waiting....



and then i turned it off, and then wen i turned it back on it said

RAM CLEARED

...a lot different to your problem...

That happened to my friend's calc when I did the MOS bug. What we did was take a battery out and put it back in while holding on+clear.

dont hit any keys, just download the tios. if you cant get that to work, try having it doen calc-calc instead of comp-calc

All you gotta do is insert the link cable completely turn on the bad calc, make sure is says load calculator software, goto the good calc and press 2nd LINK ALPHA G. Then the bad calc will say installing calc os. Thats it. i've had to do this many times from not connecting the link cable fully when updating os system

Any idea why this problem occurred? He was only transfering an equation. It shouldn't cause that kind of an error. Did he leave the link in until it said Done. on both calcs?

Sounds more like he was sending a Flash App. Anytime you're writing to the Flash ROM and a problem happens there's a risk of killing the OS.

I believe that's a Y= equation.
