I think it's dangerous too. Wonder how many times it'll take for this prog. to destroy my LCD screen. 50 times?

So true. To truly know stupid deaths, read Darwin Awards. Anyway, anyone know if there's anyway to create blue lines in BASIC?

Short answer: No

Long answer: Something to do with an ASM library etc. I'm not going to try and answer it.

Not on purpose.

I don't think it happens on the 89 at all. If so, you probably wouldn't use C.

Guess we would still use ASM for it. Does this work on any other calcs?

This kind of thing is possible on just about any kind of moniter, assuming there's nothing stopping it from overheating. Maybe someone ought to try this on a pocket calculator or something, that would be kinda funny.

Wouldn't it only work on LCD screens?

Maybe, but if you overheat just about anything, it changes color. I think it would work on any screen if you were able to talk to the display (which you can't on non-programmable calcs).

The TI-84's, with their "high contrast LCD", might not get a blue screen, or have it be a different color. I suggest someone buys and checks.

You know, you can get the same effect by just breaking the screen Laughing

But who would? When the Ti-84 comes out, I'll buy one and tell you what happens to the display.
