In Windows NT, how do you remove write protection from a disk?

Also, what happens if you put in a Cd-R and send a file to the CD drive (w/o a burner)?

I think there's this little thing you slide on the bottom-right corner (looking at the back) to remove write protection. I can't remember, I haven't used a floppy is ages... You could also check the properties menu or something.

I believe if you send a file to a CD that's not in a CD burner then nothing will happen. I wouldn't know, I've never tried it.

If it's a floppy, tere should be a little slide thing in one of the corners, slide it towards the center of the floppy to rmeove write protection, however, I don't know how to remove disk protection on harddrives/partitions in WinNT.

If you try to copy/paste/move a file to a cd without that cd being a cd-r or cd-rw and without the cd drive being a (re)writer, windows will merely give an error that it can not write the file to that destination and nothing more will happen.
