Nameless Rpg

Much as I hate the 89, I have decided to write an rpg on it, because it has convenient functions for input and sprites and even a possibility for grayscale. What I need right now for it is a name - can someone think of one?

Get a story/theme/general idea first, then decide on a name.

But, to answer your question, yes I can think of one.

Well, my plan was to have the main character be in a valley or other isolated location, with a castle there and a chain of underground caverns full of evil trolls/goblins/whatever whose evil plan it is your goal to stop.

More of my ideas:

Items:
Red Herring - a fish painted red
Key, sword, dagger, magic sword - the usual stuff.
A golden egg a pterodactyl hatches from

Spells:
Dispel paperwork - needed to enter castle.
some of the usual spells like fireball, etc.

I was going to name the valley "Royston Vasey" but realised it's copywrought. Sad

Maybe I could copy the "Local Shop" idea from League of Gentlemen...

Incorperate your name or where you live, something about your self or something local that no one knows about. Thats often a good way to come up with names, and its fun when people mention your favorite pizza place every time they talk about the game.

GET Valley (Goblins and Evil Troll valley)
Happy Bunnie Town (my personal favorite)
This is a Hole, Not a Valley Valley (yes two vallies)
Valley of Rumors
8:06 Valley

You should make cool signs on the first screen like:
Don't forget your gun
and
Frodo was here
and
Watch out for pointless signs
and
Are you that bored that you are reading these?
and
The castle is this way, but you will have to do 5 hours of pointless stuff just to get the guy to open the front door
and
Bring a Golden Ring here to recieve no prize, but the satisafaction of having done that

Here is the story:

You are a traveling dye merchant from the far-off Dun Hill. You are sent to discover why there have been no dye shipments from Dyestuff Valley recently. The reason is that the goblins which have naturally lived in the caves under Dyestuff Valley have mutated due to the waste from dye production, and want to conquer Dyestuff Valley to have all the dyes to themselves. Naturally this is bad for business so you as a self-interested merchant want to stop it.

I haven't thought of the name yet but since the program is named dyestuff() I think the name will have Dyestuff in it.

I've made a stick figure character (I need some decent sprites) walk around without erasing the background or being transparent. I've also drawn out some of the map. If anybody has ideas for the game please share them.

Also the hill is now Batik Hill, the chief goblin's name is Alizarin, the castle in the valley is called Verdigris, and something else will be Vermillion (these are all dyes except for batik which is a method for dyeing cloth).
