Why don't you draw up or edit the banner, and post it for us to see your ideas? That would have been better in the first place... |

It's kinda hard to tell how people are saying what they are saying. Because there is no saound to these forums and we cannot always tell if people are being sarcastic, rude, nice, sympathetic, etc. I realize that the tan(90) was a joke, but you know what i mean. |

[Wrp_baorder54]: Very true.
>> tan(90)? Ouch.
I may not know trig worth crap except using it to draw some nice little designs on the calc, but tan(90)? Ooh, that must hurt.

[post="96926"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Ninja smilies are ALWAYS and indication of a joke, or at least they're not being serious. :ninja: :ninja:

Seriously? I always thought they were kind of a "I'm-hiding-because-of-something"-type thing... |

Maybe we need a written set of "things that people online should know." |

Random idea. I pitched it to AlienCC, but we were playing AIM tag, so he didn't get to see the finished product yet. I'm very happy with the text, less happy with the logo. I also can easily make a recognizable favicon from this:
Edit: I think what I want to do is reduce the light blue border on the calc to a bit thinner.

I never liked the favicon, but it's kinda hard to make something good in 16x16.. |

Overly shiny glass effects are so 2006. I like the current theme's more matted look. |

That's a simple layer transparency change to scale back the glossy effect. |

You may be correct, but I was just kidding anyway. |

Nothing personal, but I think we should pick a new font to use. Maybe something futuristic? |

Well, as AlienCC was saying before, this site has become branded by the Old English font and the blue/gray/glass theme. Varying from that will throw a lot of casual users off, so I vote to remain with my updated Old English font (you'll notice it differs a bit from the one in the current banner). |

I like the current banner (probably because it includes the super-cool UTI graphs that I came up with.) However, we could try replacing the Contra bit with other projects or pictures, and having them rotate. |

Why have the top half lighter than the bottom half? |

Because the Kerm thinks it looks good that way.
I think that at times, that style looks good, but in this case, it doesn't. While the banner Kerm made isn't absolutely horrible, it could be improved. How? Maybe make it look slightly more like the old banner.
