Normally I'd sign up, but I'm rather busy with my own projects right now. Argh, if only I hadn't promised a WinTI beta by November!! >.<

Well I would expect for you to not nescessarily be too committed b/c the game has no defined release date. So if nescessary it could be tested gradually in a span of 1-2 weeks. But overall I want people who will test the game and do everything to make sure that there is no small or major glitches that I overlooked. This is my first time asking for beta testing so, Im not sure how it will work out, overall a committed person never hurts Very Happy

Yeah Sir, Id really like you to beta test it since youve been highly active in the Contra forum, but Contra wont work on vti b/c vti doesnt like archiving and unarchiving, so I guess if you cant get your cables to work then there is no way you could test it Sad

I will announce who is beta testing by friday.

Sorry that I have not yet sent you the emails, its just that I want to make sure that you guys do not find any bugs in the gam, although I think that is pretty much inevitable. So I should be able to send an email at least by Tuesday. So once again lol Watch out. This is how the current list is looking for beta testers:

Darth Android
ISUCK
MadSkillz
Jeff Goble
Alex Snyder (maybe)

You do know what beta testing is, right? I mean, if there's one thing you want beta testers to find then it's bugs, that's the whole point.

But, if he finds the bugs first, and fixes them, then there is less for the beta testers to find. Less emails to him, less stress. More Gaming Smile

True, but not wanting the beta testers of all people to find any bugs at all.. I mean, then why have a beta test at all?

Well actually there is a very good reason to have beta testers even if you think you got rid of all the bugs. The game may work fine on his calc, but when it is on another calc of the same model or even an upgrade of the model, the game may not work! Thus you would need beta testers to see if it will work on as many calcs as possible! Wink For example, the first public demo worked great on my TI-83+...but once that broke and my mom got me an 84+ SE, I have yet to be able to play this first release on my new calc. Though the BASIC should read the same as it does between calcs, for some reason I get an error from the main program. I am an ASM programmer, and have programmed in BASIC before that. I don't really know exactly what the problem is, but I want to see if everything will go without a hitch on this new release.. (I do have an idea on the error though) Smile I hope this may clear up Arcane's ? about why he would still need Beta testers.

Admit that you realise I was saying that not wanting beta testers to find any bugs at all, as implied by saying "its just that I want to make sure that you guys do not find any bugs in the game", goes against the very concept of testing.

Either that or admit that you don't know what coherency is, conditionals are, what the word "then" means, or that you're trying to avoid the actual issue I raised.

Also, saying "?" instead of the word "questions" is silly.
