I've had no luck trying to get help from the TI website.

I'd like to program the TI-89 for the distance formula. I've made some attempts but without success.

Your help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Ed

Try this on: √((a-c)^2+(b-d)^2)→distance(a,b,c,d).

There's optimizations and such to that (for example, one could use R▶Pr()), but that makes things harder to understand.

Edit: changed variable names to not overlap with system variables. Boy, was that stupid of me.

One thing to note: you can also use "a1" and "a2", just like x1 and x2, so you don't have to use unnecessary variables and so it somewhat resembles the actual formula.
