no, the new "aero" interface (in Vista) is the 3d one that is copied off the one that Sun designed - apple has no 3d-ish interface

what in the world are you babling about??? gates had NO part in OS/2 OR Mac OS - Gates started with a BASIC language for the Altair, then co-founded M$. I think you are getting confused in that DOS and Win1.0/2.0 weren't X86 only, and therefore ran on apples and IBMs and such
