So, I found out about Phase II/New Voyages being done by a group of people that started out in 2004, and they've done a pretty good job recreating the original series sets and holding true to that era of show. I didn't really give much thought to what else might be out there, but apparently, there's quite the list.

Quote:
Star Trek (New Voyages) Phase II
Star Trek Continues
Star Trek Renegades
Starship Exeter
Star Trek: Hidden Frontier
Star Trek: Federation One
Star Trek: Intrepid
Star Trek: Odyssey
Star Trek: The Helena Chronicles
Starship Farragut
Star Trek: Borg

So I've started looking in on the others, and I've found Star Trek Renegades, which brings back original cast members from different series to (seemingly) reprise their roles. http://startrekrenegades.com/home/ has a couple of interesting trailers on their main page.

Star Trek Continues has a few episodes here: http://www.startrekcontinues.com/episodes/#.UwtMMfldVp0 I haven't yet watched them, but it gives me something to look at here later. Smile

Star Trek Phase II has 8 episodes over the last 10 years, the latest one I have watched called Kitamba, and it was fairly well done. Apparently, the person in charge of making this happen has managed to get at material and information that Gene Roddenberry was going to use to continue Kirk's voyages after the first run, but then scrapped to bring out the Motion Picture. http://www.startreknewvoyages.com/

Starship Exeter is a slightly different take on Star Trek, with only two episodes that I've been able to find on their website: http://www.starshipexeter.com/index2.html It seems a bit unpolished, and their scripting needs a bit of work to shore up with Star Trek. Not a bad attempt, at any rate.

I'm not really sure what to make of Star Trek: Hidden Frontiers yet, as I've just found their page. This will require a bit more investigating as I have time to do so: http://www.hiddenfrontier.com/episodes/index.php

Star Trek Federation one seems to be tied to Hidden Frontiers, found at the above link.

Star Trek Intrepid is a fairly well done fan show from the EU (Guessing so because of accents). I've watched the first episode, and enjoyed it. You can find them here: http://www.starshipintrepid.net/downloads.htm

Star Trek Odyssey also seems to be tied to Hidden Frontiers, so you can find it here: http://www.hiddenfrontier.com/episodes/indexody.php

Star Trek Helena Chronicles is also tied to Hidden Frontiers, found here: http://hiddenfrontier.com/media/news/060807_hca.php

Starship Farragut seems to be an interesting take on classic trek. Don't know how the episodes are yet, but they can be found here http://www.starshipfarragut.com/downloads/#.UwtQbPldVp0

I can't seem to find anything for Star Trek: Borg, it just keeps linking me to articles and wiki pages about the Borg, so if I find anything about this supposed series, I'll post it up.

Just curious about what you all that like Star Trek might think about all these, and whether or not Paramount should pick one of these up and run with it?
