Just saw this pop up on windows live news broadcaster. I'm curious as to what this is, or if anyone else has even heard of this thing?

Might be a good thing to help educate others of this particular item if this is as serious as the article seems to suggest.
It seems legit, but then again, it seems very dubious, with the replacement that they are using. Also, why doesn't someone write a counter-virus that fixes the issue, so when they do a dns lookup, it does the same attack to change it back?
