How devastated are you about this downtime?

We all know he wishes Cemetech was more like his favorite Walled Garden, that's the only reason he insults us. Wink

Anyway, please try to restrict discussion in this topic to things at least vaguely related to the upcoming DNS switch. One thing to note is that because only the physical machines are changing, not the IPs or addresses of the DNS cluster, there will be no need to wait for DNS information to propagate.

*bump* I guess this passed uneventfully! I didn't notice any actual service downtime at all.

well, there was about 3 minutes or so of downtime earlier today, do you think that is related?

Nope. The downtime was for November 6th, and after almost a week, nothing happened. Today's slowness probably had something to do with: caching things for the search, backing up data, or someone else on the network did something that sucked lots of bandwidth.

oh, alrighty then. Probably nikky's fault anyways. Good to know cemetech suffered no repercussions over the server maintenance!
