I seem to have missed your topic; sorry about that. Smile Alrighty, you have two options:
(1) I have code released that speaks the TI link protocol. You can use this code to connect your Arduino directly to a calculator.
(2) If you need the networking features, let's talk more about what your project is, and we'll see if CALCnet would be appropriate. In that case, I'd be more than willing to share my code with you.

Making an Obliterate PC client would involve communicating with the gCn metahub, which I do in Python, but you could do in any PC language (but doesn't require the Arduino code). Similarly, interfacing with Sandpaper clients from a computer would require connecting to the gCn metahub, which is hosted on a computer.
Can't I use the Arduino that I have to not use the servers, cut out a middle man, plus I want to make some hardware in the future that will use calcnet to talk to it, nice to use with dcs7.
If you just want to communicate from the computer you won't need the Arduino at all; having the Arduino won't really cut out any middle man. If you're looking to communicate with gCn from just the computer, I've written some C# code that does that:

well, if it is to connect to gcn, you will either have to connect it to a computer or use something like an ethernet shield and write all of the networking code yourself.

You should look at my in-progress Bulding a PC-Free Calculator-Internet Bridge topic and see if that helps. It's a much cheaper alternative to an Ethernet shield, at any rate. Unfortunately, the project is shelved until the summer, but I hope to finish it off in June.

That sounds reasonable enough; perhaps you can tell us more about the hardware mods you want to make so we can help figure out how we can specifically help you with that?
Well, I will have some wireless transfer, calcnet only, backlight, and unless there is some good asm code for it; a more presise battery level thing, all usable from the local calculator only, with calcnet.
