I need some help finding two things.

First, I am looking for a suite to make ARPG's for the TI-calc, whether it is on calc, or for Windows or Mac. Does this even exist?

Second, I need a version of Super Mario and the level editor that does not need ION. I got the one for ION and even with DCS7 installed, it still says error SYNTAX.

May I suggest some of TIFreak8x's work?

For example: http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/403/40345.html

That's very strange; I'll try to look into it.

Edit: ohhh, I bet it's one of the programs with a corrupt header. Can you email me the .8xp in question?

You can get it at www.tiwizard.com me thinks
Thanks qazz42, I'll try it tomorrow.

Kerm, I'll try to send you the troublesome version tomorrow.

Maybe I'll work on a development suite for RPG's on-calc, in Axe.

Sounds good, unless you can point me to an online download (ticalc.org?). Did you check out TIFreak8x's RPG SDKs?
There is also http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/120/12080.html or http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/127/12788.html , but it is so old that I'm not even sure if it will work on newer OSes.

It lets you make RPGs in the style of Ys series, where you run through enemies to attack then, but you're limited to 255 rooms and about 16 sprites, I think. The files produced are generally large, too, and I am not sure if it's super stable.

Unlike the stuff on ticalc.org, it's possible to make a good ARPGCS with this kit, but the game will most likely remain short anyway (under 5 hours).

I did. But what I'm shooting for is something that asks you for info and constructs the program behind the scenes, something that requires 0 coding knowledge to use. I have not tried the other file DJ linked to, downloading now to try on windows.

@Kerm: The file in question incoming to admin@cemetech.

the one at tiwizard gives me the same error.
I still didn't get a chance to deal with this, I'm afraid. One of these centuries, when I've hopefully solved my personal problems and made some good headway on my schoolwork, I will get to it, I hope. Razz

They do work, but you have to dig around to get all of the files. It runs in fullscreen.

How can I contact Paul Robson? I don't know If the listed email will work. (Paul wrote ARPG CS)
