is there a virtual pc program better than Windows Virtual PC?, something that has more than 8 megs of virtual video memory..

right now my virtual win98se runs the small programs that dont use much graphics (old programs I like, like Ultimate Haunted House)

but there are some programs that dont work well. (Warlords Battlecry 3 doesnt work on Windows 7)
VirtualBox (at virtualbox.org) should probably do the trick, as you can configure how much video memory to allocate.

I use VMWare Player, myself; works great at running Ubuntu under Windows 7.
do remember that running a Virtual Machine is generally significantly slower then running the actual hardware. Probably even more true when it comes to accelerated graphics.

Indeed, especially since most (all?) VMs are unable to actually accelerate any of the graphics in the VM using your actual graphics hardware.

VMWare's products have supported hardware accelerated graphics in VMs for several years now, including VMWare Player. I *think* VirtualBox might also support it now.
