Okay, so here is my question...
How do you use lists? And "how do you save a game so that the vairbles can't be over written?

Try this, see if this answers any of your questions.
The advantage of saving things like progress, high scores, etc in lists is that you can have an arbitrary number of lists named LBLAH, where BLAH is any alphanumeric string less than or equal to 5 characters. Since this is likely to be unique and not used by any other program, it won't get overwritten the way the 27 real variables, 10 pics, etc can be.
