SO I found a new window manager that is pretty cool. Its a tiling window manager that emphasizes keyboard shortcuts (to the point that most of its features aren't accessible from the mouse). Its pretty cool, give it a try (its in the Ubuntu repositories)

Looks quite interesting. I didn't fully read the documentation attached to it, but can it be combined with any existing GUI/window manager like Gnome or KDE?
I've only used it standalone so far, but this: http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Xmonad/Using_xmonad_in_Gnome#Changing_desktop_background talks about using it with gnome (keep the gnome panel, use this to manage windows) - I would attempt it, but I like the way my Gnome is currently, so once I'm going to try it on my school laptop's VM install of ubuntu Smile
Sweet, this is quite a good idea since I have a small OCD over using as many keyboard shortcuts as I can considering they are MUCH faster than moving your mouse. Such as switching tabs in Fx or in Pidgin. Just use CTRL + Tab. Very Happy
hehe, haskell. I don't think I've ever seen a real application written in it before.
Haha...I didn't know there was a language named Haskell. Razz
hmm, I'll have to give it a try, it sounds cool.
I've mostly seen Haskell used for mathematics applications. Check out the Wikipedia entry on it:

Neither had I, but the language has piqued my interest before - maybe now I'll actually learn it Very Happy
