I understand how to change the drive letters, only my computer will not allow me to change the drive letters to A or B.

This is a list of sources I found that say that A and B are only for floppys.

The only mention I saw anywhere online of being able to assign A: and B: to anything other than floppy drives was on the Microsoft page, where it said:
Quote:
Your computer can use up to 26 drive letters, from A through Z. Use drive letters C through Z for hard disk drives. Drive letters A and B are reserved for floppy disk drives. However, if your computer does not have a floppy disk drive, you can assign these letters to removable drives.

If anyone has a HARD DRIVE, not a removable/external storage device set up as A: or B:, then I am still confused as to how you did it...
I might be able to do that since I disabled my floppy drive in BIOS and I've never used one with this machine..
elite.lumberjack: Props for those links, especially the Microsoft one. My laptop's SD card slot is now A:\. Very Happy
ok, so that is why I was able to do that to my flash drive then. I was just speaking off of experience and never had the need to make a HDD A:\ or B:\ (I did for my flash drive once, but that was it).
