I understand how to change the drive letters, only my computer will not allow me to change the drive letters to A or B.
This is a list of sources I found that say that A and B are only for floppys.

The only mention I saw anywhere online of being able to assign A: and B: to anything other than floppy drives was on the Microsoft page, where it said:
If anyone has a HARD DRIVE, not a removable/external storage device set up as A: or B:, then I am still confused as to how you did it...
