Does anyone here know how feasible it would be to program a DMX-512 controller for calculator?

Information on the DMX protocol: http://www.dfd.com/primer.html

I would want to do this in BASIC, but I would likely need an ASM lib to send data that quickly... but since the 8microseconds is only a minimum, I tihnk I could get away with it...
