Hello,
I'm attempting to tranfer a z80asm program I compiled with z80asm, which spit out a .bin binary file. I'm using TiLP, but the trouble it, it's not in the file selector to send it to the calculator. Please help, what's the problem? Is the file ending wrong? Thanks.
You need some form of utility to convert that binary file into an .8xp file which TiLP will then transfer. I usually use devpac8x to do so, but it's written for Windows, and I don't know of any others offhand. I expect it would work in Wine, though.
Ah, ok, thanks, I'll look into that.
Does anyone know of a converter for Linux?
Try a google search, and by the way EDIT BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know of one, but I bet ticalc.org has a ton of them lying around. And, we do discourage of the double posting here, thank you.
Ok, sorry about the double post, I seem to have found one called 'bin2var', but I'm not sure where to find it...

edit: got it, http://www.ticalc.org/pub/win/asm/bin2var.zip
THanks for everyones fast help
Ticalc.org has a bunch of things named bin2var, but they're all Windoze/Mac. I found bin8x, though.
Did this work out for you, SecretServGy?
Yes, KermMartian, it worked in wine (bin2var), but I just used gcc to port the c file to windows, so now I don't need wine Smile
