Not really. Why would I memorize that A is ASCII 65 when I can just type 'A'?
You would if you've ever written assembly code for a compiler or assembler that for whatever reason doesn't understand character constants?

Which would be very, very few people, as any modern compiler and/or assembler will understand character constants. Very Happy
