firewall's won't do a whole lot if you are behind a router. Sure, it'll stop outgoing connections, but seeing as that wouldn't happen until AFTER you were infected, they won't do much good
(now if you aren't behind a router, then go for it, but I'm fairly certain that almost everyone here that is on broadband is
