Casio should use 256MB RAM,16GB Flash ROM and intel core i5(or equivalent performance)CPU.

And,CG100 is a eletric trash.CG50 classic never goes out of style!!!

I suspect the following reasons, especially seeing that Nintendo is being cautious as well:

-Semiconductor and other electronic parts such as GPUs skyrocketed in price during the pandemic shortages and some parts have yet to go back down
-Inflation in general driving the cost of parts and operations up a lot
-Casio being unwilling to charge more for the fx-CG100 than they did with the fx-CG50.

This is probably why it has 4.5 MB of RAM: They no longer wanted to produce a calculator model specifically for Australia, so they made it global to reduce production costs.

I'm bemused. What generation of i5 are you wanting? Don't expect the calculator to last more than a few minutes with all that power draw.

Maybe trying out the HP Prime G2 could satisfy you. There's a free emulator you can test.

Casio is very lazy because they didn’t want to make CG100 and CG100AU two different calculator. 👎

Well,i5 consumes a lot of power, but wouldn't upgrading the battery together be enough? For example, switching to a rechargeable battery or using a battery that >490mW(laughs 😄
