Is it possible to make a TI-84 Plus (or almost any edition of Texas Instrument calculators) able to do symbolic math? Such as symbolic integration or differentiation (i.e. derivative in respect to x of x squared is equal to 2 times x, integral from 0 to x of 2x in respect to x is equal to x squared, etc)

It's probably very complicated but just a general question
There are a number of apps out there that will let you do symbolic math. Here is one that may pique your interest.
There are several programs to symbolic differentiate a function, check our Archives, and if you can't find a good program, and ticalc.org has a lot of math programs as well. You can also write a program yourself that finds the derivative, that is not too hard Smile
