I was wondering if anyone on these boards would be willing to create an AlexForum skin when i get around to releasing 1.0? (this will be a couple weeks, once i iron out the mess of features CH people want... )

It's fairly simple, less than 20 images and a CSS stylesheet...
I might be able to help you out on it
oooh, thanks! (I'll just assume it will be dark green? Razz because that'd be cool)
let me know when you need it, and I will need a copy of the forum to get the skin down good.
Tell me what needs to be done, and I'll make a maroon/white/gray one.

Code:

html { overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: auto; }
form { display:inline; }
input { background-color:lightgray; border-color:darkgray; border-style:outset; }
img  { vertical-align:middle; border:0px }
BODY { font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10px;
color: #0da149; margin:0px 10px 0px 10px;background-color:#050505;
scrollbar-face-color: #1D1D1D; scrollbar-shadow-color: #1D1D1D;
scrollbar-highlight-color: #2D2D2D; scrollbar-3dlight-color: #1D1D1D;
scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #000000; scrollbar-track-color: #030303;
scrollbar-arrow-color: #FFFFFF}
TABLE, TR, TD { font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px; color: #008080;}
a:link, a:visited, a:active { text-decoration: underline; color: #628545}
a:hover { color: #8abd61; text-decoration:none}
.online_users { background-color:darkgreen; border-style:inset; border-width:3px;}
.divider { background-color:lightgreen; }
.signature { border-color:darkgreen; border-style:outset; border-width:2px;}
.quote { border-color:darkgreen; border-style:groove; border-width:2px; font-family: Serif, Times New Roman; font-size:12px;}
.question { color:orange; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; text-align:left;}
.answer { color:green; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; text-align:center;}
.category { background-image:url('category_bg.gif'); border-style:inset; border-width:3px; background-repeat:repeat-x;}
.cat_header { text-align:center; color:red; }
.shoutbox { background-color:#333333; }
.sticky { background-image:url('sticky_bg.gif'); }
.pm_inbox { border-width:1px; border-color:green; color:white;}
.navlink { color:red; }
.remote_button {background-image:url('remote_button_center.gif'); background-repeat:repeat-x; border-width:0;}

that's teh current CSS... it's not great, i kinda made it in a rush...
so, we just modify that and submit it as extra skins?
no, go here: http://www.alex10819.com/beta/default/

that should give you an apache file choice... all the images need to be done to fit the scheme...

Can do. Sounds like fun.
YAY!

I think i lied, there's 30 files total...

just put all your skin files in a folder, and name it what you want the skin to be called... AlexForum automatically detects new skins, so just uploading it to an installation is the first step (second is adding SQL, admin has to do that by clicking one whole button)
K. Might take a few days, but I will be able to get it done eventually. Smile
no rush, i know you're a busy guy...
Let me get this straight, are we only changing images, or do we have to change CSS also?
both, preferably... though you could leave the CSS the same and it'd work...
Gotcha, will try and do

I don't see how I could not change the CSS...it would look ugly otherwise.
yeah... but if the color scheme matched the current CSS, it would be ok...

can you give me the link where I can download the alexforum pacakge to try out?
