After months and months that could actually have turned into a year I have been slowly trying to upload all the files neccesary to my website. But, as I was browsing around my Webmaster CP and found a little button in the power tools section called "Install phpBB2" . But anyway, I am getting a few more styles and themes, and I got a portal I have been needing but once I get it, I have no clue were to put it ? Can anyone tell me?

You're going to have to be a little more clear on that question. I'm not really sure what in the first half is relevant or what you're trying to ask in the second half.

I just need to know how to setup a Forum Portal. I also just added a new template, but now when I got to my forums it comes up with this:



And now I cant see anything . Cant I change my own style by altering MySQL? Thats were it saves my settings correct? Becayse right now it looks like I will have to reinstall phpBB

I would just reinstall phpBB. A "Forum Portal" as you present it is nothing more than the index page of your forums. There is nothing special you need to do to set that up beyond installing phpBB.

you can of course do a custom one using the built in templating system, or just edit the existing one (which would be easier)

Just edit the style number associated with your profile in the MySQL db to fix that error.
