I have a a two month old TI-83+ and had been having archive errors since two weeks ago, last week I was playing cube runner under doors Cs 7 and the calc just crashed, the screen flickered a few times and then my calc died, I tried ON+DEL and ON+CLEAR but nothing happend.
I replaced the batteries including the backup and that didn't help.
I left it with no batteries in for three days and still nothing worked,

anyone know what I should do? Also where do I send my calc for replacement under warrantee?
TI should have the place you send it to here: https://epsstore.ti.com/OA_HTML/csksxvm.jsp?nSetNumber=12725
Ahhh they have a Uk & ireland site.
Thedarkb: Did you try the proper ON-DEL sequence? It goes like this:
1) Remove one AAA battery
2) Hold the [DEL] key and keep holding [DEL] until told otherwise.
3) Still holding [DEL], insert the missing AAA battery
4) Still holding [DEL], press and release the [ON] key
5) Release [DEL]

Anything?
No response whatsoever
WOW A MEGA CRASH

No response as in nothing apparent on the screen? Did you try replacing the batteries? Did you try turning up the contrast?
After about a year in my drawer, I put some batteries in the 83+ and it came on without a problem, not sure why it wouldn't reset earlier, the archive errors have cleared up too.

Thanks for updating us; I'm sure people with similar problems would be particularly happy to see a resolution to your problem. I hope that you'll take advantage of it working again to do a little programming and/or gaming. Wink
