My question is simple, how do i use ExecLib and OpenLib( and what do they do + a few more things.
1) what is their purpose
2) how do i use them
3) does Lib stand for Libraries or if it doesn't, what does it stand for.
4) if it does stand for Libraries than is it related to the libraries you can download of Cemetech or Ticalc.org
1) OpenLib( takes the name of an app which implements a certain kind of callback for the OS, and sets up that routine for use. ExecLib runs it
2) You need apps that implement the appropriate callbacks. As far as I know, currently only USB8x does this.
3) Yes, it stands for libraries
4) See (2).
1) They are used for flash library access
2)
Code:
:OpenLib(USBDRV8X
:{6
:ExecLib  // Usually the Ans is passed to the library
:Ans(2)+.01Ans(3

3)Yes, it does
4) Yes, and no: the only library that I know of that uses this method is usb8x, which interacts with the USB.

Note: ExecLib and OpenLib() are really not that important, as applications such as DCS already do everything that this would do in its place. There is really no need to use them at all, really. Hope this clears things up! Smile

Elfprince++ for already answering. Smile
