MIT has really good dumpsters, with loads of electronic goodies.
Here's what I've gotten my hands on so far:
1 Sun Blade 1000, 73 GB HDD, 2x UltraSparc 750 Mhz, 2 GB RAM
1 Dell Latitude D610, Pentium M 1.6 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, no HDD, works otherwise
1 Toshiba P4 laptop of unknown specs, no PSU
1 Core 2 Duo Dell machine, no HDD, no RAM
20+ Pentium 4 machines, assorted. No longer with me, since I have no space
1 Big Peltier Cooler
1 4th gen iPod (B/W)
1 Fancy breadboard with built-in function generators, POTs, etc.
1 5 amp NiCd battery charger
1 USB keyboard
4 USB optical mice
There was also an ultracentrifuge of unknown condition there today, but seeing as it weighs few hundred pounds, I doubt I'll be able to carry it to the 4th floor
So...much...stuff....It's only been 4 weeks of school! It helps that all of MIT's e-waste is consolidated into one convenient indoor location.
