I was wanting to turn my Pong game into brick breaker but i dont know how to do hit detection without it being incredibly long code so could someone help me with this

i really need help with this, this is something ive never done

Pxl-test could make this incredibly fast, but it means it would have to be on the graphscreen. Not that that's a bad thing...

Graph Screen + Games = Awsomeness. Just puttin that out there =D

Yes, Pxl Test would be a good idea (as long as the Ball doesnt travel more then like.. 1-2 pixels each loop).

And just putting another thing out here, Since you might be using the GraphScreen. CelticIII is very awsome in making sprites. =D (CelticIII includes Xlib)

of course you could use a matrix for hit detection in a brick break game on the home screen. gives me an idea using text(function probably not the best way to do it but its good experience.

i wouldnt know how to use a matrix for this because i dont often use matrix and i was planning on converting it to a draw screen game and can anyone tell me where to get celtic 3
