What connection software are you using? Are you using TI-Connect v1.6, TiLP, or something else?

I've had this same trouble before too.

When MEDIT creates a level, it uses spaces to make the name 8 characters. So MARLVL is followed by two spaces and spaces are not allowed in program names.

The ways around this are:
1. group the level and send it to your computer
OR
2. Use Calcsys to change the spaces to some thing else, like "1" (hex 31), then group, ungroup, and rename it to whatever you want.

Leave it to TI Connect to come up with a completely useless and unrelated error message.
