I am working on a sort of space shooter classed as a "danmaku", which you probably already know about since another project somewhere else on this site is such a game. A screenshot of the most recent version of the work-in-progress shows what I've gotten done so far. It's just a demo at the time.

The demo contains much of what you'll be encountering when the game is finished. What doesn't work yet is everything other than "Start" and "Quit Game". The difficulty modes do nothing for the stage but wildly affects the severity of the boss's attack. The game doesn't actually have an endpoint, but requires you to pause, then either restart or quit the game.

Love that you have made something so fast, and will outlast many other games on many calcs!

That, sir, is a very epic game. I can't even manage uni-directional shots, much less ones that change direction after a few seconds.

Awesome stuff, that.

Can someone post a screenshot gif? I've got a temporary no-emulation situation.

Two iterations ago: http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?qui...dmm&thumb=4

This is the version of the game that has been uploaded to ticalc.org but can't wait to get it going. Try it out and see if you like it.

What you see here will be what the full version of the game will be based off of.

EDIT: Noticed. Post count has hit 333. Half of 666, is also the store's # at which I work.

Not gonna bother ticalc with this one, but I've made one bugfix that could crash your calculator if you did something wrong.

The problem? The newly-added "Challenge Again?" menu had a hole in it where if you pushed the MODE button to "go back", it would try to go back to a nonexistent pause menu, thereby causing a crash for a reason I haven't fully explored (nor will I bother to do so).

The fix? After creating the "yes/no" dialogue using a cheaper method, I patched over the address in the table to make the back button act like the "No" option. Not exactly cheap, but it was far cheaper than copying and pasting the table needed to render the Yes/No option, save for one single difference. In hindsight, I truly don't know what would've been easier to do >.<

What this means to you? Button mashing when the screen's flooded with bullets might be deadly to your character, but it's not deadly to the calculator anymore.
