Ok i uploaded my ROM and the calculator shows up.......now what! Nothing i seem to do works, it doesnt even seem like its on.

I attempted to send a file to it...it says link error. How do i use this thing??????

what version of the rom are you using? it must be 1.13(maybe 1.12?) or lower or something...

I'm using rom version 1.15.....I don't understand. When you say on button you mean the little button on the calculator graphic right?

i have exactly the same problem, im using VTI 2.5 beta 5 and the TI83+ ROM 1.16
with windows XP pro and it doesn't work...

version 1.15 and 1.16 WILL NOT work with VTI... dont ask me why, i dunno... but you have to use an older rom version (1.12 or lower as i said before...)(yes, i did look it up Smile)

ARGH!!! I used my brothers rom version 1.10 and it still doesn't work!!! Must it be between 1.10 and 1.15 or something? The evilness is.......evil.

Try downloading the alpha version of VTI 3.0 from ticalc.org. That should be able to work with rom versions 1.13 and up. Other than that, 1.12 works just fine with me. Perhaps you just have a cursed computer. Laughing

Nope, that doesn't work either. I guess I do have a cursed computer.

EDIT:

Hmm, I just realized that the problem may be that I have a ti-83 plus SE...Could this be the problem? Must I do something special for this? VTI 3.0 Alpha doesn't display the 83plus SE skin, it displays the 83plus skin. Could this be the problem?

Oh yes, that is a problem. VTI 2.5 Beta 5 cannot emulate the Silver Edition. Your only hope is VTI 3.0.

the se part should not be a problem. the os is the same for both, right? i use v1.12 rom with vti v2.5 beta 5 on a 98se machine running @ 400MHz.

The huge yellow bolded title saying 'TI-92 Fargo Gamz and Libraries' kind fo gave it away didn't it?

Or because there's no F5 button on the TI83?
