I've noticed that Wikiti is really getting hammered by Spambots and no moderators are doing anything about it. I've been trying to delete the content from the pages and mark the page as spam with a SPAM!!!! in the description, but I'm outnumbered.
Clear SPAM!!!!

I could help a bit.

But Wikidot is kind of big. In the 83+, 68k or nspire? Or all?

And also they strike in the discussion forum or files archive? (discussion ofrum does not seem...)

IF you could put a link to a example.

Also the recent changes do not help...

Ah, the beauty of NOT having wiki pages for tutorials and such. Yay for static html. :)

Sadly, wiki pages take too long for me to load, so I could not sign up and do anything with it. Good luck to those that have time and such.

And also the ugly thing about static html =p ( html tutorials are harder to update if only a few have access)

I'd really like to help, however I'm not so familiar with wiki editing. Guess I'll go read some tuts. :)

EDIT: I didn't need to enter a captcha (or similar anti-bot measures) to create an account, manually deleting spam like this is just plain impossible.

You're thinking of the wrong website. WikiTI != TI|BD.

It's Dan Englender's wiki, which Andy Janata has access to or maintains or something. You'd have to bug the latter about it.

Right. TI|BD is Wikidot... Nevermind.

In the recent changes there is lots of spamm. Starts only here...

But the email request don't help. The best thing to do is a admin delete all of that.

The spam is not catogorized (unlike all bcalls etc). Does that help deleting it?

Very probably. If you'll happen to look at #wikiti on EFNet, Andy set the topic to

Code:
We need to just disable signups for now :|

It probably just needs a much better captcha.

It's my understanding that we're on an ancient version of the wiki software. It needs to be overhauled.

Yep. I tried the site a week or two ago (with and without googling it) and Google gave me a malicious software warning.

Well considering this site is related to Calculator hardware I doubt anyone has any reason to post false information, also I just ignored the google warning and my computer still hasn't blown up so I think you should be ok.
