Well, i was *trying* to fix my friends calc, and i noticed the ribbon cable to the screen was loose. I moved the screen a little, and it cam off tottally. Im wondering if their is any way to fix it. I dont think their is, and im guessing i now owe him a new 83+... |

Stick it back on and give to him. Tell him you ran a program to fix his lcd and you think it broke it. Give him TI's number too. |

Okay, well, that sucks. My suggestion is to let him use yours until you can get him a new one, and make an awesome program on the new one (Snake always impresses the non-nerds) to let him know "I'm sorry I killed your calc."
Also, sorry to hear that tape didn't work. Duct tape can solve almost anything... |

Yeah it didnt work, but my step-dad is an awesome sotterer (i know thats spelled wrong) and we tried to fix it that way. We got halfway through sottering it back together and the copper film gave out . Oh, and i cant code, and hes a big nerd, lol. And yeah, he has one to use all year now, i loaned him mine. |

If you need to give him a kick-a program to make up for it, I'd be glad to give you one of mine. |

S-O-L-D-E-R. Not trying to be a spelling nazi, but it helps to know how to spell stuff. |

You don't owe him anything man, you helped him the best you could. The calc was probably broken anyway. |

Reasonable if you consider how it's not pronounced the way it looks.

The spelling was entirely reasonable, and I never said it wasn't, but I just like to teach people some stuff every once in a while. |
